Replace your Furnace Filters

AirCleanerManufacturers recommend that you replace your furnace filters every three months or so. Many people replace them when it starts getting cold in October, so it may be time to check them again. The filters get clogged with dust, and other particulates, and start blocking the airflow through the furnace, cutting its efficiency.

If you have a chance, check out a permanent filter, which will reduce waste and hassle. Did you know that disposable fiberglass filters trap a measly 10 to 40% of debris? Electrostatic filters trap around 88%, and are much better at controlling the bacteria, mold, viruses and pollen that cause illness and irritation.

If you have questions on filters and other air cleaners give us a call. Most of our air quality solutions are available as upgrades to existing home heating systems or cooling systems, or of course can be installed in conjunction with the latest energy efficient systems.
